Overview

A Power Plant in a Box

The Techedge Modular Solar Unit brings solar generation, LiFePO₄ battery storage and a pure-sine inverter together in one sealed, weather-ready enclosure. It is designed to be installed and powered on without a specialist electrician for basic setup.

Its defining idea is modularity: begin with a single 500 Wh unit, clip on a second battery pack for more autonomy, and combine multiple units where more total power is needed — a clean path from one household to a larger off-grid system.

Modular Battery Expansion

Add Autonomy When You Need It

Every unit ships with a 500 Wh base pack. For longer cloudy spells or higher nightly usage, an optional second 500 Wh pack clips on underneath the main unit — no rewiring, no tools, sealed against dust and rain.

500 Wh

Single Pack

For standard off-grid lighting needs and light loads.

1000 Wh

Dual Pack · ~2-day autonomy

For areas with less predictable sunlight, or where backup depth matters more than upfront cost.

Scaling Beyond One Unit

One Unit, or Many

A single 400 W unit is designed to operate independently. Where more power is needed, additional units combine to increase total available capacity — supporting a path from a single household installation to a larger, multi-unit off-grid system, without replacing the original unit.

Ideal Applications

Built for Off-Grid

🏠

Rural Households

Lighting, fans, mobile charging and small appliances where grid power is unreliable or unavailable.

🏪

Small Shops & Community

Dependable off-grid or backup power for shops, kiosks and shared community facilities.

📡

Remote Installations

Locations without practical access to grid infrastructure — deploy and power on.

🚨

Disaster Relief & Emergency

Fast-to-deploy, identical units that scale by simply adding more — no custom sizing or specialist installation.

Current development focuses on lighting and light-load applications first, with higher-power loads (such as fans) planned as a subsequent phase of testing.

Installation

Install and Power On

Designed for install-and-power-on operation, without requiring a specialist electrician for basic setup. Full installation guidelines will be published alongside the production release.
