Be the single point of contact for Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs) across Maharashtra — build relationships, identify solar on-grid/off-grid opportunities, and structure gap finance to make projects bankable.

Responsibilities

  • ● Build and manage relationships with FPOs across Maharashtra as the primary Techedge point of contact
  • ● Identify solar opportunities within FPOs and member farms — on-grid (net-metered), off-grid, and hybrid systems for irrigation, cold storage, and processing loads
  • ● Assess each FPO's project cost versus available subsidy/equity, and identify the gap finance required to close funding
  • ● Liaise with banks, NBFCs, and government schemes (e.g. PM-KUSUM, NABARD/FPO promotion schemes) to structure gap financing and loan facilitation
  • ● Prepare project proposals and financial viability notes for FPO leadership and lenders
  • ● Coordinate with the technical and engineering team on system design and cost estimates for proposals
  • ● Track the pipeline of FPO engagements from first contact through financial closure and installation handover
  • ● Represent Techedge at FPO federation meetings, agri-fairs, and government/NABARD outreach events

Requirements

  • ● 1–2 years in agri-business, rural/priority-sector finance, NBFC loan sourcing, or renewable energy sales
  • ● Working knowledge of FPO structures and government solar/agri-finance schemes (PM-KUSUM, NABARD, state cooperative schemes)
  • ● Comfortable structuring basic project finance/gap-funding proposals (no CA/finance degree required, but numerate)
  • ● Fluent in English, Hindi, and Marathi; willingness to travel across rural Maharashtra
  • ● Open to being based out of Pune or Nagpur
  • ● Strong relationship-building and stakeholder-management skills

Nice to Have

  • ● Existing relationships with FPO federations, NABARD DDMs, or rural bank branch managers in Maharashtra
